Worship
Our worship together as a congregation is at the heart of who we are and what we do at Central Christian Church. In our worship as a church, we seek the presence of the Living God and commit ourselves to be God’s people. We pray, sing hymns and songs of praise, listen to the story of our faith in readings from the Bible and sermons that are biblically based, share in the Lord’s Supper, bring our gifts for the work of the church, and invite people to join us in the journey of faith.
On Sunday morning, we have two services, one at 8:30 a.m. and one at 11 a.m. Both are held in our beautiful, historic sanctuary.
Music plays an important role in our worship experience. In the 11 a.m. service, the Chancel Choir, KidsSING, our children’s choir, TeenSING, and various soloists and instrumentalists share music that inspires and gives voice to our faith.
Children are an important part of our worship community. At our 11 a.m. service on Sunday we have a special moment with children and offer carefully planned worship experiences for younger children. For information on children’s worship click here.
Guests are always with us when we gather and are warmly welcomed as a part of the worshipping community. In an act of hospitality we offer transportation to and from worship, large print bulletins, hearing amplification devices, and gluten-free wafers. All followers of Jesus Christ are invited to join us at the table as we share the Lord’s Supper.
