Women’s Ministry

Disciples Women's Ministries provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ.

Opportunities are offered through Christ Care, Sunday School Groups and the organization of Disciples Women.

All women of Central are invited to participate in the following upcoming events sponsored by Disciples Women:

  • 2010 Quadrennial Assembly, June 23-27, 2010/ Koury Convention Center & Four Seasons Sheraton, Greensboro, NC

The Disciples Women Yearbook, 2010-2011 is available in the church office and provides full information about meeting times, retreats and service projects. Contact President Marilyn Botkin (robert.botkin@windstream.net) or the church office at (859) 233-1551 for more information.

On-going projects:
  • Central Women are urged to make a daily click on www.thehungersite.com. Each hit means a contribution will go to alleviate world hunger through various mercy organizations around the world.
  • Recycling used ink cartridges: A joint project with Central’s youth, this project helps us be better stewards of the earth and earns money for youth mission trips and Disciples Women’s Mission Projects. Place used cartridges in designated bin in Fellowship Center.
