A Blessing for Those Serving in the Medical Profession
Giver of life and provider of healing balm for our souls, we give you thanks for the wisdom, dedication and skill of the men and women whose vocations address the healing of our bodies and minds. Good and faithful God, weave into the fabric of their lives sufficient joy for times of healing and sufficient patience for times when medicine is not adequate for the body’s need.May they carry a sense of your grace and mercy attending our births, the maintenance of our bodies and minds, and life-sustaining interventions and surgeries, unto that time when our earthly life comes to a close. And sustaining God, in their own times of physical and mental need, may there be colleagues who offer that same sense of grace and mercy unto them. In deep thanksgiving, amen.
