Enough Lenten Class

As people of the table, how do we make the Lord’s Supper central to life? Join us as we ponder this question in our Lenten study at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings from Feb 24 to Mar 24. This five-week book study of Enough: Contentment in an Age of Excess will invite us to consider what it would mean to place the Lord’s Supper at the center of our lives and to understand contentment as a Christian discipline. Will Samson, the author of Enough, will facilitate each of the discussions. Will lives in downtown Lexington, is a professor of Sociology at Georgetown College, and worships with the University of Kentucky Newman Center-Holy Spirit Parish. Copies of Enough will be available for $10 at the welcome center on Sunday February 14th & 21st. Our Parent Teacher Organization will be sponsoring a “Pizza” Supper at  Central Christian Church in the Fellowship Center This Friday, March 12, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Raffle tickets are on sale now - $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for six tickets, for baskets that we be raffling off that evening, some of the baskets include a “Tailgating” basket w/UK paraphernalia , “Family Game Night” basket, “Movie Night” basket, “Wine & Cheese” basket and many more. If you would like to support this event, contact Liz Wolford at 253-2273 to have tickets reserved in your name / Adults are $6.00 and children are $5.00. We welcome anyone who would like to come to the dinner and see what wonderful families we serve.
